Get your act together!

Business at times can be overwhelming especially if you don't have formal business training or come from the world you are now getting in to.  As a business owner for the past 15 years and a background in Criminal Justice I can say what I've learned is to have your team in place.  CPA, bookkeeper, lawyer, insurance broker, health insurance broker and so on. Create a master book that is easily accessible and The last thing you want to do when you're in a situation is to scramble to find the fastest and best.  Where do you find your team?  Starting a business requires long hours and focus.  The four walls of your business can seem confining and lonely at times so getting out and networking will help you expand your reach not only to obtain business but put together a team of people you can go to when you need them.  Not to mention you can learn a lot on how to carry yourself and speak to people.  You are not alone.  There are mentors and other business owners that can guide you.  But be cautious, not everyone is out to see you succeed.  Take the advice that will help you not put doubt in your mind.  Stay strong and make sure your vision and goals are clear.
